To coil the rope into a bowl shape use a heavy duty tapestry needle and thread it with a long double strand of mercerized cotton crocheting thread.
Instead of passing the needle through the gap allow it to catch a small section of the second coil of rope.
Cut your 30 foot rope in half to make two small bowls or leave as one long piece to make one large bowl.
Begin with the blunt end of the wrapped rope and fold over about 1 2 to 3 4 inch depending on the rope s flexibility.
Stitch the base until you re happy with the size.
