Clean Out Dishwasher Drain Hose

Pour 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of vinegar down the drain.

Wipe the interior of the dishwasher with paper towels to remove the grease. Pour two tablespoons of vinegar and one tablespoon of baking soda down the drain. Let it sit for around 15 minutes and then pour in some hot water boiling to the basket to clear away the clog. Give the air gap a final rinse with clean water.

Give the solution 10 15 minutes to sit properly. You will probably find gunk in there which you can get out with a brush made from a coat hanger bend an oval shape with no sharp points. Disconnect the other end of the drain hose under the sink by loosening the clamp and pulling it off of the hose connection.

Remove these items carefully. Use vinegar and baking soda solution to flush out the drain. Dishwasher drain pipes are often clear so you can simply look for a clog instead.
